Ramadan MMS Competition

1. Contest Duration:
Bahrain Telecommunications Company (BSC) (hereinafter known as “Batelco”) MMS (voice clips and picture) (the " Contest") is run by Batelco and will take place in Bahrain from 12:01 A.M. on 16 th Sep 2006 to 11.59 P.M. on 22 nd Oct 2006 (the " Contest Period").

2. Contest Organizers:
For the purposes of the Contest, the organizer is Batelco.

3. Eligibility:
The Contest is only open to residents of Bahrain who are Batelco Mobile Phone Customers (pre-paid or post-paid).

Employees of Batelco are not eligible to enter the Contest. The Contest is void where it is prohibited or restricted by law.

The competition is open to all Batelco Customers (Postpaid/Prepaid) to send an MMS (Picture or Voice clip) to the short code 9900.
The Entrant can view all the MMS (Voice clips & Picture) they had sent on Aywah.
Entrants can only send a 1 minute voice clip & a 100MB Picture MMS.
The Entrant must send these MMS from his/her Mobile Phone and number.
All Entrants sending a Voice clip MMS must read the same Ayah in clause 4.1 below to win the prize for the “Best Quran Reader”.

All customers sending a picture MMS must take a picture that is related to Ramadan Theme.

4.1 The following Ayah from the Quran must be read, “as is” in order to qualify as a valid voice entry.

Once the MMS entry is received by Batelco, you will become an entrant in the Contest (an " Entrant"), and acknowledge acceptance of all Contest terms and conditions, and agree to be bound by them.

6. Awarding Prizes:
Prizes will be redeemed by Batelco in accordance with clause 8 below. Prizes are only redeemed at Batelco Seef Mall retail shop, to notify to the winner. Prizes not claimed within 7 days of notification shall become null and void and Batelco will be under no obligation to provide the Prizes.

7. General Terms and Conditions:
7.1 Verification of Entries . The validity of any entry is subject to verification by Batelco. Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected. Any Entrant or any individual who enters or attempts to enter the Contest in a manner, which is contrary to these rules or by its nature is unjust to other Entrants will be rejected. All decisions of Batelco with respect to any aspect of the Contest, including the eligibility or disqualification of Entrants, are final, without right of appeal.

7.2 Acceptance of Prizes . All Prizes, save as provided for in these rules, must be accepted as described above and cannot be transferred to another individual, substituted or exchanged for another Prize.

7.3 Substitution of Prizes . In the event that, for reasons that are beyond their control and not related to the winning Entrants, Batelco is unable to award a Prize or Prizes as described in these rules, Batelco reserves the right to award a Prize of the same nature and an equivalent value.

7.4 Number of Winners . In the event the number of Winners is greater than the number of Prizes available for any reason beyond the control of Batelco, such as an error or mechanical, electronic or other defect that occurs in the management, the design or the implementation of the Contest, Batelco reserves the right to end the Contest in whole or in part, without notice, at any time.

7.5 Number of Prizes . By entering the Contest, each Entrant acknowledges that Batelco shall not be required to award more Prizes than the Prizes described in clause 5 above.

7.6 Exclusion of Liability - General. By entering the Contest, each Entrant releases and discharges Batelco from any and all liability with respect to any damages whatsoever he or she may suffer as a result of his or her participation in the Contest.

7.7 Exclusion of Liability - Contest Operation. By entering the Contest, each Entrant releases and discharges Batelco from any and all liability resulting from any unauthorized human intervention, or any other cause, including but not limited to malfunction of any computer component, software or communication line, any loss or absence of network communication, any faulty, incomplete or unintelligible transmissions or any transmissions that are erased by any computer or network which could limit the opportunity of any individual to enter the Contest, or prevent them from doing so.

7.8 Modification . Batelco reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, at their sole discretion, in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the control of Batelco that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Contest.

8. Communication of Winners:
8.1 For the Ramadan MMS competition Batelco, will select the best two (2) Quran readers and the best two (2) Ramadan theme MMS pictures and will place a call to the four (4) selected finalists.

8.2 In case one or more of the selected finalists is unavailable, Batelco reserves the right to select the next best Quran reader or Ramadan theme MMS Picture.

8.3 All prizes are to be claimed within 7 calendar days from the date the winner is notified by Batelco.

9. Publicity:
Winner’s names and prizes may be published in local newspapers and Batelco internet site. Winner’s photographs may also be published with the winner’s written consent.

11. Governing requirements:
Batelco ‘ Ramadan MMS competition’ is in accordance with the regulations of the Bahrain Ministry of Commerce and Industry. These terms and conditions shall be construed and governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
